Yesterday we published the 14-target backlink strategy for cabin-rentals.us. Today we’re expanding the target list by 15 — eight new PNW regional tourism and outdoor recreation sites and seven cabin-rental-specific directories — bringing the total to 29 verified, live backlink opportunities. More importantly, we deployed the asset that makes the outreach work: a comprehensive Washington cabin rental region guide that gives every target on this list something worth linking to.
Outreach without a link-worthy destination is asking for favors. Outreach with a genuinely useful resource is offering value. The Washington guide we published today on cabin-rentals.us covers all seven Washington cabin regions with season-by-season pricing, booking windows, and honest comparative analysis. It’s the kind of page that a county tourism site, a hiking blog, or a regional chamber of commerce would link to because it helps their visitors — not because someone asked nicely.

The Asset That Makes Outreach Work
Yesterday’s strategy post identified 14 targets. Today we built the asset that justifies contacting every single one of them.
The Washington Cabin Rentals: Complete Region-by-Region Guide 2026 covers:
- All 7 Washington cabin regions compared head-to-head: Mount Rainier, Leavenworth, Olympic Peninsula, San Juan Islands, North Cascades, Methow Valley, and Columbia River Gorge
- Season-by-season pricing tables with actual nightly ranges
- Booking window recommendations for each region (from 1 month for the Gorge to 12 months for San Juan summer)
- Honest comparative analysis: which region for which trip type
- The three-question decision framework that helps visitors pick the right region
- Practical constraints: timed-entry reservations, ferry reservations, road access, WiFi reliability
This is not a thin affiliate page. It’s a genuinely useful planning resource — the kind that tourism boards, chamber of commerce sites, hiking blogs, and outdoor recreation platforms link to because it helps their audience. And it links naturally to the three booking platforms (VRBO, Expedia, Booking.com) that cabin-rentals.us monetizes through.
What Changed Between Phase 1 and Phase 2
Phase 1 (yesterday): Strategy only. 14 targets identified, no link-worthy content on the destination site, outreach gated behind operator approval.
Phase 2 (today): Resource deployed. 15 new targets identified and verified. The destination site now has the asset that makes outreach a value proposition rather than a request. The full 29-target map spans every category of backlink that matters for AI citation confidence.
The gap that remains: cabin-rentals.us is still behind a Cloudflare configuration issue that prevents the custom domain from serving content (SSL handshake failure on HTTPS, HTTP 409). The Workers deployment succeeds — GitHub Actions confirms the code reaches the backend — but the domain routing is broken. Until this is resolved in the Cloudflare dashboard, backlinks pointing to the site provide zero value. The operator needs Cloudflare dashboard access to verify the custom domain connection to the Workers deployment.
Next Steps (Operator Action Required)
The content and research are done. What requires operator action:
- Fix the cabin-rentals.us Cloudflare domain routing (dashboard access required)
- Register for the Booking.com affiliate program to add the aid= parameter to existing links
- Join Leavenworth Chamber ($200-400/year) for the permanent .org backlink
- Submit cabin listings to the free-tier directories (allcabins.com, cabinlife.com, glampinghub.com, hipcamp.com, lake.com)
- Draft and send outreach emails to the 14 editorial targets (tourism sites, blogs, outdoor platforms)
- List on paid directories if budget allows (cabins.com at $129/year)
